Degradation Description
A footpath connecting South Shore Drive to Cosey Beach Avenue passes over Carolina Creek and an existing 15-inch diameter culvert allows sufficient tidal flow to marshes that lie to the east. Portions of the eastern section of this marsh have been filled, and a residence had existed here historically. The footpath lies on an old road bed, formerly an extension of South Shore Drive.
