Degradation Description
n/a, BUT: The family who owned the property, was very interested in selling, preferably to DEP, but might have been forced to sell to others for development pursuant to the terms of a family trust that held title to the property. Residential development along the marsh would prevent future inland migration of the marsh and potential downstream water quality degradation was high. There is currently no residential development adjacent to this large tidal marsh complex- a very rare condition in CT.
