Degradation Description
A berm at the upstream end of the culvert in the Duck River under Library Lane blocked tidal flow, and reduced fish passage. The pond was historically used as an ice pond and was a water source for fire suppression efforts. The berm caused the water to stagnate and led to high levels of mosquito breeding.
