Degradation Description
Non-native plant species dominated the three kettle pond margins, allowing the slope to destabilize. The destabilized slope, in turn, contributed large amounts of sediment, excess nutrients, and other non-point source pollutants to the three kettle ponds, and eventually to Little Neck Bay.
