Degradation Description
Harbor Island Park was created by filling in a tidal wetland with soil, rock and other materials in the early 20th century. The fill had created a steep embankment along much of the waters edge that was dominated by invasive species, such as Japanese Knotweed, garlic mustard and Phragmites.
