Degradation Description
One segment of a large, mosquito-ditched tidal marsh system along Pine Creek was filled between 1968 and 1974. The filled area was once part of a landfill, and not filled very deep. This area essentially occupied one of the rectangular tidal marsh panels created during the mosquito ditching process.
